The Ultimate Relaxation Experience From Home
WOW! The holidays are over and now you’re left with a sense of blah, but most likely overall exhaustion. Not surprising, and I promise you aren’t alone. Time to relax!
Let’s be honest, getting out of the house for some well deserved Rest & Relaxation can sometimes feel a little overwhelming to say the least. Cost, time, logistics along with making any necessary arrangements for your dependents (2 or 4 legged) can be down right nerve racking. Don’t worry, I know how you feel!
To say that I’m generally busy is an understatement. My husband and I run OliDog Rescue while both working full time, we have… I literally just had to count in my head… 7 dogs right now, 3 cats and two horses…
Things get a little hairy, physically and figuratively. So going out, specially if my husband is at work, is a recipe for anything but relaxing. I don’t know about you, but leaving the house generally entails mixed feelings of guilt and anxiety with a side of an overwhelming sense of impending doom.
I’ve learned to make the best and most of my situation and have mastered the art of ultimate relaxation with out leaving the comfort of my own home.
Below is Step One from my guide to The Ultimate Relaxation Experience From Home!
Upgrade Bath Time
Something magical is about to happen… you’re about to have a little you time. But I can’t promise there won’t be a gathering outside your bathroom door… mine generally consists of a pack of 4 legged lost souls who cannot comprehend why they have been banished from the bathroom, don’t worry I have a solution for that too!
There’s nothing relaxing about trying to find a half comfortable way to rest your head in the tub… are you’re picturing your attempts at getting comfortable with a makeshift towel pillow? Those times are over! Your head, neck, back and shoulders will thank you on your small investment in a Bath Pillow.
Alright, so now you’re in the tub, nice and comfortable, and you’ve brought something to read, a book, a tablet… maybe your cell phone? (No one is judging you!) You’re comfy…but holding up your entertainment is, let’s face it, awkward.
What you need in your life my friends is a Bath Tray! Now I’m not talking about a $80 bath tray here, we’re aiming for relaxing on a dime… or as close to as possible. This beauty should do the trick, and the cost is pretty darn inviting as well!
Alright, we’ve got the essentials, the rest is just gravy now, but I promise it’s REALLY good gravy.
There’s nothing like a good soak to get rid of your worries, aches and pains. One of my favorite ways to do that is by adding a little Aromatherapy to the mix. Bath Salts, Bath Oils, or Bath Bombs are all great choices that offer a wide range of scents to suit just about everyone’s senses.
Again you don’t have to go over the top, I prefer to buy in bulk to get more bang for my buck, and don’t let fancy names or brands fool you, a good generic product will give you everything you need, and your budget will appreciate it as well.
BATH BOMB GIFT SET – 12 Unique CHEMICAL FREE Bath Bombs uses natural clay combined with mineral salts, shea butter and cocoa butters, sunflower seed oil, baking soda & fragrance to fizz aches and dry skin away. Each bath bomb will give you a soothing and spa experience with a natural colorful bath.
All good things must come to an end… the gathering behind the bathroom door may or may not have dispersed, but you’ll be pruning soon and you likely have to get back to reality… Time to rinse off.
Baths and bath salts can actually leave your skin and hair feeling dry, especially in the winter months if you’re already dealing with a dry heat, but good Moisturizing Oil will take care of that for you!
After you’ve pat yourself dry and towel dried your hair take a little Avocado Oil to your body, scalp and hair. You don’t need a lot, so don’t go too heavy on the stuff or you’ll be left feeling a little greasy to say the least.
So there you have it, a few simple hacks to give yourself a boost, a little you time, and some well deserved pampering.
